How to Upload WordPress Website Backup in cPanel

Backups help you restore your website in case something goes wrong. However, restoring WordPress from a backup file is not easy for beginners. Let’s see the steps.

Manually Upload WordPress Website Backup in cPanel :-

  1. Upload Code file backup
  2. Upload Database file backup

There are different ways to create a backup for your WordPress site. The best way to create a backup is by using the WordPress Backup Manually.

Upload Code file backup :

  • Login in Your cPanel Account.
  • After Login go to Domain Section

  • Click on Domain , When Main Domain.

  • Click on Addon Domain when other domain

  • When Add subdomain Click on subdomains
Create Sub Domain
  • After that go to file section , Click on File Manager.
  • Click on public_html and go to file name of given domain name.
  • Open the domain name file.

  • Click on Upload button on the Top option to Upload the backup Code file.

Note :- Backup code file upload only compressed file like zip file and rar file etc.

  • After Uploaded successfully. Extract the compressed code zip file.
  • Your Code file uploaded.

Upload Database file backup :

  • Now upload the database backup file.
  • Go to the cPanel , Database Section.

  • In Database Section click on MySQL® Database Wizard to create database name.
  • After database name creating go to the MySQL® Databases to Create new user for database.
  • After Creating New User , Assign Add User To Database
  • Now go to the database section, Click on phpMyAdmin.
  • Select the database name and Choose on the Top option Import.
  • Choose the Database Backup File to import backup only .sql file.
  • After selecting File Click on Go button.
  • When database upload successfully. Check the website in web browser.
